Worldwide GMT automatic watch from Terra Cielo Mare. The Worldwide GMT commemorates the International Meridian Conference convened in Washington DC in October 1884 to which 25 countries participated, including Italy, where the system of time zones was first discussed. In Italy the adoption of the system of time zones was introduced by a Royal Decree on August 10th 1893 and entered into force on October 31st of that year. The watch has a 42mm, 316L stainless steel case, which is water resistant to 50 metres. The case houses a TCM modified 25 jewel Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic movement, which has Novodiac shock protection and Cotes de Geneve decoration. A convex mineral glass lens protects the silver dial, which has Super-LumiNova markings for great legibility, silvered luminous hour and minute hands, a silvered second hand, and has a date window at 3 0'clock. The dial has an internal 24 hour bezel, and a outer dial which has the important cities of the world. Thanks to it's special second crown, placed at 9 o'clock, the Worldwide allows the wearer to calculate the hours of major cities around the world by rotating the inner bezel, calculated on the basis of their current time slot. The Worldwide has an engraved back, which shows the globe with the signs of time zones, the commemoration of the International Conference of Meridian and a red dot indicating the position.
